Finale of the 'Our planet, our future' Competition

Finale of the 'Our planet, our future' Competition

On 12th June2012, inthe Session Hall of the Municipal Office in Dąbrowa Górnicza, the ceremony was held for presenting awards to the winners of the ecological city competition 'Our planet, our future', organised under the auspices of the President of Dąbrowa Górnicza City.

A post-competition exhibition of the winning works and a demonstration of multimedia works was also organised in the hall.

The competition was part of an international campaign organised by Veolia Environnement, serving to shape child awareness of health and natural environment protection. In total, 826 4th grade pupils from 27 primary schools of Dąbrowa Górnicza attended the competition. It was the biggest group of pupils from the area of the city that took part in the competition.

Over 100 outstanding, graphic-descriptive works were submitted for the competition, chosen by teachers of nature subjects or the class teachers, as well as more than ten multimedia works. They represented a very high level of content and aesthetics.

Below we present the winning works and the pupils receiving their prizes.

The victorious pupils were extremely pleased with the received awards, and the organisers – with the large interest in the competition both on the part of the pupils, and of the teachers of Dąbrowa's schools.

We believe that the several months' work of the pupils and teachers will bear fruit in the years to come – with a greater concern for our future, and for our planet.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their excellent results, and see you at the next edition!
